Empowering You Through Yogic Tools for Transformation
so that whatever happens in life, you can maintain an inner balance.

“Whatever the external situations might be, if you can maintain an inner balance without any suffering, this is yoga.”_Sadhguru

HathaYogAnaya imparts practices from the ancient science of yoga that will accelerate your journey towards transformation. Our aims are in line with Sadhguru’s vision of creating a more joyful and ConsciousPlanet, and are realised through the offering of Classical Hatha Yoga workshops.

We offer a different kind of yoga instruction:

  • Classical Hatha Yoga is taught in its full depth and dimension, as a transformative process. It is not taught simply as an exercise. It brings physical, mental and emotional benefits, but it is ultimately a spiritual process, intended to help us evolve as human beings. No mirrors, props or music is used. Only your body and a mat is needed. The eyes are kept closed during most of the practices, there is a greater focus on enhancing awareness of body, mind and breath, and the approach is much more inward focused.

  • The practices offered are authentic, sourced from an ancient yogic tradition dating back to Agastya Muni, and have been taught to us undistorted by Sadhguru, an enlightened being, master of yoga and an extension of this sacred lineage. I do my best to maintain the integrity of these practices in the way that I teach them to you.

  • When one attends a yoga ‘class’, there is a tendency to simply imitate the teacher and then go home without necessarily having learnt or understood the postures. I offer workshops (ranging in duration from 1 hour to 4 days) which enable you to fully learn a practice so that you can then do it on your own, without the need for a teacher. You need not attend regular weekly classes after that. I aim to help you make Hatha Yoga part of your daily life.

  • Most yoga instructors these days typically go through an average 200 hours of training to qualify as yoga teachers. I have undergone an intensive 6 months (1,750 hours) of Hatha Yoga teacher training at Sadhguru’s Ashram in India and am devoted to nurturing an ongoing process of transformation within myself and others.

  • Following completion of a workshop, support is offered upon demand to ensure any remaining questions are answered such that you are confident enough to continue the practice on your own.

Sadhguru is the founder of the Isha Hatha School of Yoga. This is what he says about Classical Hatha Yoga:
